Important News – We’re Upgrading Our Electronic Patient Record System

We are proud to announce that on Monday 22nd June 2026, our practice we will be migrating from our current system (EMIS) to a new clinical system called Medicus – a next generation electronic patient record (EPR) system developed specifically for the NHS.

This move is in keeping with our ongoing commitment to using technology in ways that support patient care, improve efficiency, and reduce unnecessary administrative burden.

Why are we changing?

Our current electronic patient record system, although widely used, is no longer fit for the needs of modern general practice. Many patients will have noticed the growing trend of national GP computer meltdowns – not only happening more often, but hitting harder each time.

A Safe and Nationally-Supported Transition

This migration is being overseen and supported by NHS England and the Surrey and Sussex Integrated Care Board. It is a carefully managed process designed to maintain safety and minimise disruption to services.

We will go live with the new system on Monday 22nd June 2026.
We anticipate minimal disruption, but we do appreciate your patience in the week following the switch as our team gets fully up to speed with the new system.
