Guildowns Group Practice Approach to Infection Protection Control (IPC)

Guildowns Group Practice endeavours to ensure compliance with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 Code of Practice on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance (DH) 2010 (updated 2015). The Practice is committed to providing effective IPC practices to minimise the risk of infection and ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff.

If you suspect that you may have an infection that could put other patients at risk please stay at home and telephone the reception staff.

If you have come to the surgery and think you may have an infection that could risk other patients please speak to the reception staff as we may need to allocate another room for you to wait to be seen.

The IPC lead for Guildowns Group Practice is Practice Nurse Anna Warrington who will be happy to answer any questions or concerns regarding IPC.
