Child Health

We offer child health appointments with GPs for eight week mother and baby checks and nurse led baby immunisation clinics.

Diabetic Clinics

There is a diabetes clinic at Wodeland Surgery, The Oaks and Stoughton Road Surgery.

Usually patients with diabetes would be expected to attend a main annual review to see either a nurse or GP.

A blood test is needed prior to the appointment.

Family Planning

We have nurse led clinics for contraception/family planning and are able to fit coils and contraceptive implants at the practice.

If you have been advised by the surgery to submit a contraceptive pill review please complete our Contraceptive Pill Review form.

Flu/Pneumococcal Vaccination

Flu and pneumococcal vaccinations are recommended for all patients over 50 and patients of any age with heart, lung, kidney or diabetic problems.

Residents of nursing and residential homes are all advised to be vaccinated.

Health Checks

We provide NHS health checks for patients aged 40-74 at our Wodeland Surgery.

Minor Surgery

Dr Baker can carry out some minor surgical procedures at the practice but a routine appointment is needed initially to be assessed. Please book a routine appointment to begin the process.

If the concern is about a possible skin cancer then any GP can assess this to decide if a specialist referral is required.

Please be aware that the NHS will only fund minor surgical procedures in certain circumstances; the removal of skin blemishes for cosmetic reasons is not possible on the NHS.

Non-NHS Examinations

The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, for example, for insurance and driving licence.

Please contact the practice for an appointment and ask for details of our charges.
